Lily Allen, born in London and making music since the early 2000s, is the chart-topping, culture-shifting powerhouse who kicked the door down in 2006 with her Alright, Still album: a record that sounded like ska, pop, gossip, heartbreak, and London pavement on our face all hitting at the same time. “Smile” went #1, “LDN” became EVERYONE’S personality trait and made us want to move to Hammersmith, and suddenly Lily was the girl who said the quiet parts out loud - and that’s why we love her to be completely honest.
