When David Byrne exploded onto the music scene in the late 1970s, early 1980s as the frontman for the legendary Talking Heads, best known for bangers such as Psycho Killer, Burning Down The House, and Life During Wartime, it became evident that everything the visionary musician and all round artist touches with his extraordinary innovation, creativity, and eclectic approach, is destined for heights far beyond the stars. He is a master - in the truest sense of the word - in practically everything arts: from film to photography, from visual art and writing to music.
And the most thrilling news of the season is that David Byrne is scheduled to release his first album in seven years, Who Is The Sky?, in early September 2025, and will be hitting the road on a worldwide tour to support the album. The Who Is The Sky Tour is rumoured to be even more electric and eclectic than anything the visionary creative genius has done before, featuring 13 musicians, singers, and dancers, and all the sound and spectacle that set this tour aside from a regular gig. The Who Is The Sky Tour is slated to kick off its North American leg in mid-September 2025 in Providence, Rhode Island, rolling into all the major venues before wrapping up in early December 2025 in Miami Beach, Florida. Thereafter, David Byrne and his troupe will cross the oceans, visiting countries such as Germany, Netherlands, and the United Kingdom before taking their final bow in France in March 2026.
