Beloved Colombian singer, songwriter, and actor Carlos Vives is celebrating three decades of his illustrious career with his Tour Al Sol. Vives is enthusiastic to start the North American tour, promising to bring his fans on “a journey through the emotions of music that moves with the sun”. He will be able to interact with fans in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico, bringing “the sunshine of La Provincia” closer to the people who have enjoyed his music throughout the years.
As one of Latin music’s most prominent figures, Vives has earned several accolades throughout the years; to name a few, he has two Grammy Awards, 17 Latin Grammy Awards, and an ASCAP Founders Award. He is also included in Billboard’s Latin Music Hall of Fame and is duly recognized for his noteworthy contributions in the popularization of Colombian music. Vives has collaborated with other iconic Latin artists like Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz, and his close friend, Shakira. His distinguished career of having more than 20 million records sold across the world is significantly paired with his admirable philanthropic efforts in his home country.
Aside from fan-favorite La Tierra del Olvido, Vives will perform “a selection of songs, including the most remarkable vallenatos of my career, and pay tribute to classics” in his most awaited upcoming tour.
