The podcast shows are full of funny conversations, reflections and debates about the show, and a huge hit with listeners. Their live show promises to do the same, and more as the distance of the radio waves is replaced with a venue, and no chance for them to, ‘cut that!’ Make sure you’re there to experience the uncut version of The Always Sunny Podcast and book now!
In 2005 the tv show, ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ premiered. Starring Charlie Day, Howerton, McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson, and Danny DeVito, the sitcom follows the over-complicated plots of the main characters, known as ‘The Gang’ as they run a measly Irish Bar called ‘Paddy’s Pub’. The show is a dark comedy hit for viewers and its 16th series is currently available for streaming. There is no end in sight for the show, and fans love the offensive, often political and dark comedy of the show, and in 2021 Howerton, Day, and McElhenney started The Always Sunny Podcast. The podcast is a trip down tv memory lane with an episode-by-episode-recap of the show and all the antics and schemes of ‘The Gang’, like the episode where a video store clerk brings about a relationship melodrama. But… sometimes they don’t and will have DMCs about drive-thru altercations, compete to see who is the healthiest and reminisce about trippy 80’s cartoons. But, whatever, it’s cool and they can do whatever they want. There’s plenty of laughs, shocks and spills between the hosts and producer, Megan Ganz, and in every episode, they inevitably end up shouting, ‘cut that!’ as they talk about the outrageous show and the bits behind the scenes and in the writing room. Now, for three dates they will be bringing their show to the stage and it will be full of shocks and laughs, with no chance for them to cut anything when they shout, ‘cut that!’ It will be an unadulterated, debaucherous show paying homage to the tv series that started it all. If you love ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ and love to be shocked and appalled by dark, offensive yet also observant and sometimes silly humour, then this event is perfect! So, join Glenn Howerton, the Golden God from the show, Rob McElhenney, creator, writer and producer of It’s Always Sunny and Phili rat basher Rob McElhenney at Radio City Music Hall, New York, on Thursday the 12th of October and book your tickets without delay to spend the evening with them for The Always Sunny Podcast Live!
