John Fogerty has had an incredible music career. The prolific singer-songwriter is responsible for numerous ‘60s classics like “Proud Mary,” “ Fortunate Son,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Looking Out My Back Door,” and many more. His time with Creedence Clearwater Revival has significantly changed the way music fans enjoy music, and he’ll always hold a legacy in that era. Three decades later, the band has been given the most prestigious honor among music makers. In 1993, John Fogerty and his former bandmates were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
After the band parted ways in 1972, Fogerty moved on to have a phenomenal solo career. He released his debut effort, The Blue Ridge Rangers, in 1973. The album debuted at number 46 on the Billboard 200. Although it performed moderately well, the record proves that Fogerty remains among the best music writers of all time. In 1985, his third effort, Centerfield, topped the Billboard 200 and became an international hit. The album, which sold over two million copies in the U.S., also spawned several highly-acclaimed singles, “The Old Man Down the Road” and “Rock and Roll Girls.”
